“The Sarasota Technology Users Group teaches electronic device use to Florida residents in Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto, Charlotte and Hillsborough County, and helps computer users get the most out of their smartphones and mobiles, iPads and tablets, laptop computers and desktop computers in all operating systems including Android, Mac, Windows and Linux. With their online how-to videos, forums and free classes, STUG answers the questions and solves the problems of computer users in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Tampa, Phoenix, Orlando, Philadelphia, Miami, San Antonio and San Diego. Senior communities with 55+ adults such as The Villages and Sun City find help they can understand with STUG.”
Founded in 1982, STUG is organized exclusively for educational and technological purposes. STUG promotes the use of, and encourages the exchange of information among individuals and groups who have interest in technology and technological devices. STUG is committed to educate members as to the uses of applications, hardware and software of these devices through discussion groups, forums, lectures, seminars, meetings, and other similar efforts. This includes the distribution of hardware, software and educational materials to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
